The Dolly Parton's Imagination Library is a 60 volume set of books beginning with the children's classic: The Little Engine That Could. Each month a new, carefully selected book will be mailed in your child's name directly to their home. Best of all, it is a FREE GIFT! There is no obligation to your family.
In July 2019, we introduced Dolly Parton's Imagination Library to Pettis County. Since the time, the number of children enrolled in the program has grown substantially! United Way of Pettis County covers the expense for children who physically reside in Pettis County under the age of 5 because we understand that giving children access to books allows for supported cognitive development, improved language skills, preparation for academic success, increased concentration, and improved imagination and creativity.
If you would like to enroll your child, please register with this link. We ask that only the parent/guardian of the child complete the registration and that the child is between 0-5 years old and physically resides in Pettis County. If your child does not reside in Pettis County, by using the correct address for them, you can see if there is an affiliate that is covering the cost of the program for the area inwhich your child resides. This helps to ensure we are able to continue to fund the cost of the books and reach all the children of Pettis County. Your child will receive their first book 8-10 weeks after the initial registration and will continue until your child turns 5 or you move out of the Pettis County area.
Please notify us any time your child's address changes after enrollment.
